Ukraine not Russia

For clarification. Prior to 1991, Ukraine was called the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. In August of 1991 Ukraine adopted the edict of temporal cessation from USSR and subsequently prohibited the activities of the Comunist Party of Urkaine. Ukraine declared its independence in 1991 and was recognized as an independent state after Boris Yeltsin announced that the USSR no longer existed as a subject of international law or geopolitical reality.
